  1. Fanboost needs to go. It WILL be abused and with how rampant violent racism is in sports you can bet some drivers no matter how better they are will never be able to take advantage of fanboost. If it's not equal then its got no place in the sport. I can see "fanboost" being given to last place finishers of the previous race to keep things more competitive so that one driver(s) don't constantly dominate. But based on popularity? Fuck no.

  2. Though everything seems great, I dont like fanboost as it becomes a popularity contest. The best driver deserves the fanboost but here the most popular driver gets it, other than that, I like attack mode and everything else, it looks really futuristic

  3. love that formula E are involving the fans, especially when most motor sport cough cough formula 1, seem so distant to the fans due to the fact most fans can't get involved whatsoever due to the prices, but I'm not sure the current fan boost system is good at all, it's mostly inconsequential so why have it, especially when fans don't realise this and get driven away from the sport because they think it's cartoonish.

I think fanboost could be better to draw attention to drivers while outside of the track, to help up and coming drivers secure interviews and contracts etc. etc. so they are recognised by bigger teams, a team like BMW or Audi might notice a smaller driver getting a lot of fan boost and would be willing to look further into them to see if they are interested, rather than the same top teams squabbling over the best players, it would let the smaller drivers have a chance and make sure they aren't held back as much by their cars technology like what often happens, because even when they don't have the best motor, fans can still recognize a drivers potential based on their performances and have the power to help said driver get some recognition for that

I just think it would be nice for fans to be able to put their favourite drivers into the limelight, because it's nice to see the driver you've been supporting since the start become successful. Heck they could even make an app so you can track the other drivers people are supporting and it show the amount of fan points you've given them, how long you've been supporting them, etc.

that's just an idea though I'll have to think about it a bit more to flesh my thoughts out a bit

  4. Fan boost is so idiotic. This is not racing it's a reality TV show for the dumb.
Sad, I was looking forward to some E power F1 racing but they turned it into pure mass entertainment

  5. on track pick up which drivers can go over and choose to hold onto or use immediately should be added

Pick ups can have many effects such as stunning the driver directly in front of the user, or give their team mate a momentary boost, or even a pick up that the driver can activate at any given time which permanently opens a shortcut on a random turn available to all drivers

certain pick ups will also have more devastating effects on the outcome of the race, and so safe zones should put in place which keeps the drivers safe (high density areas or turns) but also keeps the drivers guessing when and where they might get hit with a pick up

Fan boost just seems very one sided and favourable to those that a popular, whereas pick ups will be based on the drivers usage

  6. Yeah… Try to break this required elitism in F1 which makes only harder accesible to world wide drivers (markets)… Like USA..

    Offer.. A better offer…

Entertaining (for teenagers, big market), accessible, townie, interactive, affordable, social media friendly,… And diverse from F1…

    Well, Formula E achieved it..
    Congrats!

But the FanBoost? What a ducking insult to the concept of race and everything that it implies.

  7. I don't get the attack mode. Every engine are virtually limited and then if you get the attack mode it unlocks the full speed? Who determines how limited your engine would be?
