It used to be that what you saw on a movie set would pretty much be what you saw in the final movie. If you wanted to have a mountain in the background, you’d have to go to one.
However with modern technology, CGI has made it possible to have that mountain in the background without even leaving your home. Just whip up a green screen and you’re good to go!
This advancement in technology has meant for some big differences between what is filmed and what we see in the final movie.

0:42 but how they remove that tiger doll to keep him full visible and then fit CGI? In this movie/shot its probably ez its just a bigger tiger then doll and then animated. But how they did it with that ring on Frodos finger in LOTR i dont get. Because its same shot, and hand in this shot is just painted green, but it you remove green then its just transparent hole, it not remove hand like it was not there ever.

one thing I've seen on the Star wars movie new hope when the storm trooper starts shooting round a corner the laser blast is not level with the gun it only last about 3 second so you need to look fast at it

In future they should release movie without CGI. That would be interesting to watch
Films that use a lot of CGI are animation, cartoons if you will. It doesn't matter if you can't tell or not. It isn't real. And if I think it's real and then find out it's not, then I feel tricked & far less impressed. I almost feel like films that use a liberal amount should bill themselves as animation. Stop pretending they're proper films where actors interact with reality, where risks are taken & points therefore have depth. At best CGI films are theater of the absurd or surrealism, stage productions like "Waiting for Godot" or art films like "The Seventh Seal".
